Uterine leiomyoma in women of reproductive age: pregnancy and childbirth management (Literature review)

The article presents a review of the current literature on problem uterine leiomyoma (UL) in women reproductive age during pregnancy and childbirth. We studied main issues etiology pathogenesis, as one leading causes dysfunction possible complications childbirth.UL is most common tumor female genitalia occurs 20–30% age. It impossible to determine more accurate indicator this pathology, given asymptomatic course than 70% cases irregular consultations by obstetricians gynecologists.There evidence that associated with infertility only 5–10% cases, but 2–3% when all other are ruled out. submucosal node has adverse effect fertility reduces implantation frequency 72% increases miscarriage risk 60%. Subserous LM affects lesser extent LM, large nodules can lead requiring surgical treatment. An individual approach treatment intramural required, there insufficient data fertility.The pregnancy, childbirth postpartum period 22–58% late preeclampsia, fetoplacental insufficiency, anemia fetal growth restriction, incorrect position presentation fetus. Pregnancy also adversely UL, acute secondary changes rapid growth, which turn severe obstetric complications.
